The Visual Arts Department at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School celebrates the creative process, nurtures passion, engages in discovery, and instills lifelong learning for the arts. The classroom environment offers a wide variety of venues where the students are exposed to creating art through different processes, materials, methods of production, and manipulation of all mediums.
Art is a part of each student’s curriculum from pre-K through 6th grade and becomes an elective for 7th and 8th grade students. Courses offered in high school include Art Studio, Graphic Art I, Art I, Art II, Art III, Honors Studio Art: Drawing and 2D Design, and AP Art History.

The Performing Arts Department at St. Andrew’s strives to provide all students with numerous opportunities for meaningful self-expression and creative exploration. In addition to involving the students intellectually, personally, and emotionally, the knowledge of the content learned in the various performing arts assists students in developing skills that will transfer to other disciplines and life situations.
Instruction in the classroom and studio is augmented by multiple opportunities to perform completed projects. Throughout the school year the students present a variety of choral and band concerts, plays, and musicals. Performing Arts instruction is an integral part of the curriculum for all students from pre-K through the sixth grade and is then offered as an elective for students in grades seven through twelve. |
