- The artists Fondren Renaissance Foundation included in this show are very impressive and prices range all across the board. There is truly something for everyone and remember that Easter is in two weeks, so it's a perfect time to shop for and fill your Easter baskets! Mustard Seed pottery from platters to dog bowls and egg plates to goblets - they have it all. Glass birds cut from one of a kind glass from Elizabeth Robinson and Kay Holloway. Whimsical clay bunnies outfitted in their Easter finery from Moni McKee. The paintings are equally as impressive and range in all sizes as well - look for new works by Tony DiFatta, Pryor Graeber and Natalie Ray. The Cedars, April 7, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
- The upcoming exhibition, DOUBLE TAKE: the Two Sides of Charles E. Smith,
will focus on the playful dialogue between his paintings and poetry and even between the two sides of the same painting. All of the works in the exhibition are painted in-the-round – every surface receiving attention from its maker. Many of the works are lyrical from one perspective and abstract from another; and the body of work ranges from figurative to landscape; from organic color field paintings to painted utilitarian objects such as vases and bowls.
