As a parent of a St. Andrew's student, I agree to support the following general guidelines which have been affirmed by the St. Andrew's Parents' Association, St. Andrew's school administration and the St. Andrew's Board of Trustees:
- There will be parent chaperones present and visible when I have a student-attended party in my house or on my property.
- Evidence, use, possession, or distribution of tobacco, alcohol, or other mind-altering substances will not be allowed by any student while a guest in my home or under my chaperonage.
- I understand that l am encouraged to call other parents and to welcome calls from other parents concerning out-of-school social events in which our children are involved.
- I understand that l am encouraged to communicate with another parent if I have information that his or her child is participating in dangerous or unhealthful practices.
- If I am to be away from home. I agree to make plans for adequate chaperonage of my children.
- I understand that St. Andrew's policy with respect to off-campus activities is to presume that the behavior of children is in the hands of their parents. To presume otherwise is to invite parental abdication of authority and accountability. If, however, St. Andrew's students, individually or in a group, engage in on- or off-campus activity that brings notoriety to themselves and/or discredit to St. Andrew's Episcopal School the school may exercise jurisdiction, applying severe individual penalties up to and including expulsion.
