Day Camps
Explorer Camp
Exclusively for 5th through 8th grades, Explorer Camp features a smart and entertaining array of camps. Campers will engage in fun learning experiences on the North Campus each day until noon. After that, they will eat lunch, and then take a SA bus to the Briarwood Pool in Jackson to swim from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. On Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, they will stay on the north campus for fun indoor games and camp games and activities in the gym. On pool days (MWF), the bus will drop After Care Campers on the South Campus and then head back to the North Campus for all remaining campers to be picked up by 3:30 p.m. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the bus will bring After Care Campers to the South Campus for ACC until 5:45pm. Everyone else will need to be picked up from the North Campus no later than 3:30pm.
Explorer Camp costs $290 per week and meets on the North Campus, Monday through Friday beginning at 7:45 a.m. and ending at 3:30 p.m. After Camp Care runs until 5:45 p.m. on the South Campus and can be added for an additional $75 per week.
Weeks 3 & 5 are four-day weeks, due to Juneteenth on Thursday June 19, and Independence Day on Friday July 4. Camp these weeks is $235 and ACC is $65 per week.

Students will make their authorial dreams come true. We will look at various media for creating story books or graphic novels and have a showcase at the end of the week.Explorer Camp meets on the North Campus in Ridgeland from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and costs $290 per week.Campers will begin each day on the North Campus learning about and engaging with the week's theme. Reach for the stars! Campers will learn about past and contemporary efforts by space agencies to explore and learn about stellar objects. Campers will form competing engineering firms for this week’s challenge. They will balance the cost of materials, time, and size constraints before stress-testing their bridges at the end of the week. Do you have what it takes to make the next hit podcast? We will spend this week brainstorming, writing, recording, editing, and eventually sharing out different types of podcasts. Campers can channel their inner Gerwig as they write, direct, film, edit, and release their own movies over the course of the week. Using iPads and iMovie, campers will collaborate to make the films of their dreams. Campers will spend this week ideating and prototyping their new must-have product, study other entrepreneurs’ successful pitches before finally making a presentation to a panel of 3 sharks.
