St. Andrew's Announces 14 National Merit Semifinalists
St. Andrew’s Episcopal School is proud to announce that fourteen members of the Class of 2025 have been named National Merit Semifinalists. The group represents the highest number of semifinalists from any private or independent school in Mississippi and the highest percentage (21% of the 66 members of the senior class) of any school, public or private, in Mississippi.
"Being named a National Merit Semifinalist is an honor and a testament to the dedication and hard work of our students and excellent faculty at St. Andrew's," said Director of College Counseling Paula Pratt. "It is a privilege to work with such a talented and driven group of students.”
The scholarship program is part of “an annual academic competition for recognition and college undergraduate scholarships,” according to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. These academically-talented high school seniors will continue in the competition for some 6,870 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million that will be offered next spring.
